DESCRIPTION:Andres Schneiter  - Hyperthermal Varroa Mite Treatment. Andres
  has been developing a hyperthermal varroa mite treatment and methodology 
 for the last three years and did extensive field trials last summer. He wi
 ll be presenting the results of these trials while giving an in-depth revi
 ew of the theory behind hyperthermal treatments. The presentation will inc
 lude Varroa mite biology and behaviour\, reasons why this parasite is such
  a problem and also explain companion treatments. He will further describe
  other novel applications of his treatment unit.\n\nAndres has an engineer
 ing background and has been a beekeeper since 1978 with a small apiary in 
 Maple Ridge. He is a certified beekeeping instructor and member of the Lan
 gley and North Fraser Bee Clubs.
